Preparing for the big trip

Within a couple of weeks I'll take off for one of the world famous train travels : the Trans-Mongolian express.

My trip will start in Beijing China and from there on I will traverse Mongolia towards Siberia. From Irkutsk on I'll take the Trans-Siberian express towards Moskow. From there on only a small step to St-Petersburg and back home via Helsinki.

Currently I'm arranging the needed visa (China Mongolia and Russia) and learning some Russian.

I'll use this page to report about the trip whenever I can find a cyber caf on route.

Hope to be able to give you some interesting reports soon.
