Re: turkey

Glad you enjoyed 'em! Is this going to be your first time there?

I understand why you are so excited. It is quite a wonderful country. There is a cultural emphasis on hospitality that makes for a pleasant visit. I had only one experience (out of dozens) where anyone made me feel unwelcome (wasn't personal--it was because I am American).

We stayed at the Otel Obelisk (stone's throw from the Blue Mosque/Bosphorus Strait). When I was there the NATO Summit was in town so it was far less crowded in Istanbul than is typical. I haven't heard of Sultan's Inn...sorry.

When are you going? Let me know if you want any of my links for Turkey.

I'm so thrilled for you!

Cheers

Re: Taking my degree too!
05-Aug-2004
Well good for you! I wish you well in your studies.

I'm working full-time and attending classes full-time. So basically I'm exhausted!!

:D

But no education is wasted so it is worth the energy.

Taking my degree too!
04-Aug-2004
I am taking my degree (part-time) now. Wow 2 years volunteer is a great commitment! I only plan to do that when I retire...Tibet Trip was about 3 weeks. I am comfortable with that at the moment. I hope you get to visit the place!

Tibet is great!

Hey Tibet is beautiful! I went there on a community service trip so the experience is one of a kind. Maybe you can try and do that.Read that you were a flight attendant. Still flying? I left the airline in 1998 and missed all the perks!Have fun travelling!
