First day in Lhasa |

We woke up at five o’clock to get to the airport in time for our seven o’clock flight to Lhasa. It was dark, it was cold but we had packed and laid out our clothes the night before so we just quickly dressed and got a taxi to the airport. |

We got up bright and early around 10, went down to the Tashi 2 restaurant for breakfast and then to the guesthouse message board to find a ride to Nyingtri. Nyingtri is not listed in Lonely Planet China but does show up on the map. Holly somehow found out |

We got up bright and early by 7 to meet everyone in the almost predawn darkness to load up the taxi. We piled into the taxi, stopped for a short time to grab some porridge for breakfast and then we were on our way to…. Somewhere.
