Hi! We got stranded in Berchesgarten (sp?) due to not reading the train schedule right we came from Salzburg. No luggage and not enough cash that night to pay the inn but they let us pay in the morning after finding something open to get money. Very sorry you missed your 3 things:(

"Movinon your travelogue echoes so much of my experience living here as a ""foreigner"" in India (sometimes they get really polite and say ""Westerner "" an epithet that also includes Japanese). I've long said that it's like a combination of being a celebrity an outcaste and a criminal (always suspect never trusted). Your travelogues are great. "

"Your travelogous of ""Don't be kind to Japanese Part 1"" attract my thought. The same scenario is that I try to understand the chinese people(china) culture which could be very much different with me even though we share the same language and culture when i stayed with a group of frens from china. At some point i really agree with what u said... I think there is no difference in whether u r a westerner or easterner trying to understand chinese culture.... i sees the same thing that u seen and sense even i try to understand in a chinese perspective (i'm not china chinese). Anyway nice to read your travelogous it does trigger our thought in different view..."

"Hello there:
I didn't get to thank you for the TrekStars but I have just noticed the names in my list and I found out a bit of some news that got me excited enough that I wanted to share so I thought this would be a great opportunity to kill two birds with one stone:
Happy No Hallmark Purchase Day!
I would love to go but i have a few domestic limitations that is a bit of a hindrance. Sharing the wealth...

Hi Movinon
just had a look at your pics and tips regarding Shanghai. I will be heading on b-trip to SHA on Friday for a week and I will have hopefully two days to have a look at the city.
Any do's and don'ts that I should know of considering that I have only two days available?
Cheers
