Pujiang hotel in Shanghai...

Was just browsing through your pics and was enjoying reliving my trip to China. Ok how much did Pujiang Hotel make you feel as if you were in The Shining??? I expected a crazy Jack Nicolson to pop out at any moment!!!!Great pics and food commentaries! I have been able to figure out the names of some of the dishes I enjoyed (and some I vowed never to eat again) thanks to your food pics!

RiceTour please do not use TrekShare photos on other sites. Specifically your pic is being used on http://www.jaggle.nl/log/item.php?id=7411. I personally pay for bandwidth and this image was loaded over 1000 times this month. Please try to remove the image from the forum.Jeremy -TrekShare

I learned a lot form your homage to food! I posted a phot of someone squeezing out soy sauce on the mainpage. Hope you get to see it. If you get the chance look for last weeks Newsweek edition if you are abroad. It has an article about TrekShare. If you look on the mainpage the link will scroll by you.Safe Travels....

Your trip to Chengde sounded great - it would be great to get away from the crowds of Beijing. We have a pretty tight schedule for the rest of China but we'll definitely check it out if we have time. Thanks for the tip!

Hi Rice Tourists This is very old information but I was in Beijing at this timeof year in 1991 and went off to the Imperial summer city at Chengde NE of the capital. Got on the train to discover (I kid you not) a total of seven other people aboard an Isreali couple and myself being the only Weiguoren. The same proved true in the town. Imagine that being alone in China the only guests in a huge Stalinist hotel wandering through the quite interesting grounds without another person in sight. Bring some good things to eat!

I wanted to thank you for joining TrekShare. If you have any questions about TrekShare just post a note on my page. Just click my name on your TrekTalk board and you will be directed to my site. Your travel plans sounds wonderful. Keep me posted.

You will get a good feel for the site by reading TrekNews which comes out monthly. If you opted out you can still sign up. It features many of our members and provides technology updates. The last 35 letters are in the archive if you want to see the progression of TrekShare over the last 3 years.

TrekTV is also WACK but you need a high speed connection to view it effectively. Premium members can now upload their own video. We posted the first set from a recent TrekTour through the Far East. You can find the video of Laos/Malaysia/Thailand/Japan under TrekTV. We recently returned from shooting footage in Cuba. We'll post info and a few of the horror stories on the site and TrekNews regarding the video.

We have also started a weekly TrekChat session on Thursdays at 8PM EST. It would be nice to see you online.

Hope to be able to feature some of your adventures in the future. If you have any insider tips on destinations you encounter on your world travels please put them in the TrekTips section. If you like what you see on someone elses page please TrekStar the content.
