Tuesday 12th January.
Got up early today and spent the whole day going between the myanmar embassy and the travel agent trying to get a visa and a cheap flight tomorrow (Wednesday) to Yangon(Rangoon).
Our luck paid off and unlike many others who didn't arrive early we got everything with no hassle at all.
So we fly out 9.15am wednesday 12th january and we'll be gone for definatly 28 days possibly longer if we choose to extend our visa.
There is no internet in Myanmar so we will be out of touch for some time, don't worry families.
It's also perfectly safe as long as we don't venture into the restricted areas which we are not planning to do.
we'll be in touch in a month or slightly longer.
