Hard to leave those lovely waves but need to move and explore the rest of the island.. rent a car (lucky us! cause for a while considered renting a bike without thinking that its the wet season here...)
Ubud is the cultural and craft centre of Bali and very pretty. Found lovely homestay guesthouse (and 4$ with breakfast)! Went to two fantastic traditional dance performances - one of them was fire dance under the full moon: the guys are such pyromaniacs!
Had the specialty smoked duck & juicy suckling pig, sglourps
Drove out of town to great rice terraces, unreal green. Saw numerous ceremonies, religious processes, men, women & kids all dressed in their traditional very colourful costumes, women carrying offerings for the gods in bamboo baskets on their heads, some men playing music.
Bought a few cookbooks, yeah
