Thursday August 24th, 2006.

Up at 8:30am.  Go down stairs and there is NO ONE to let me out!  No one here but Eva and I, Locked in again!    So I go back up stairs and have some tea with Eva.  She is leaving for Riga today.  I will miss talking with her.  (And last night I found out that she is a really good artist also!  She showed me a whole book of drawings she had with her.  Nice!).

Finaly at 9:30 Someone comes & opens the Gallery.  I go to the cafe to get breakfast.....................  Well, maybe not.....   The cook will not be in until noon.   So no food until then!  Wacky place this is!  

So I go & hike out the beach.  I end up going about 6 kilometers.  It is a beautiful day!  I hike back through the Pine Forest.  Life is GOOD! 

I get back to the cafe at 12:30pm.  I have 2 chocolate crepes and coffee for breakfast/lunch.  Yum!  I am starved!  Back to the hostel and Pay Inaia (She runs the Gallery with Christine).  She says (5LV) per night and I pay her (20LV) for the 4 nights I am staying here.  The crazy thing is, that originaly I was told it was 7LV per night?  You never know what is going on at this place!  So 5LV = about $9.80US and that includes free breakfast and internet!  As Sammy Davis Jr would say.............  Crazy man!

Next I get a mini bus #3 (.25LV) into town.  I check out the local junk market and pick up 8 Russian Military Medals for (15LV).  Then I walk up to the bus station & check out the times for going to Vilnius tomorrow.  Welllllll......... maybe not Vilnius.......  No bus goes from Liepaja to Vilnius, BUT, I can get a bus to Klaipeda and then another bus to Vilnius.  Works for me!    Mini bus #1 (.30LV) back to the hostel.

Shower, read, internet and chill.  The film crew is supposed to be finished with their movie tonight, but looks like it will only be about 70% done.  A couple of the shorts will be finished, but the big movie will not.  It will be finished back in England next week.  

 I finish reading Winter Warriors by David Gemmell  (412 Pages)  (5 Stars out of 5).

Out at 6pm to go walking on the beach and watch the sun go down.  I collect a bunch of Beach Glass to bring back to the Gallery.  There is a really cool low table that has some on it already and I want to contribute a little something to the Gallery here!

Dinner at the hostel cafe.  Chicken, Fries and Sprite (2.35LV).  Yum!!  Back to the room and read.

Suprise!  Eva is back!  She is up stairs when I go up to read.  She went to Riga (3 1/2 hours), didn't like it and turned around and took another bus back (3 1/2 hours!).  Cool!    We talk from 9:30pm until 12:30am.   She is a really interesting girl!  I really like talking with her and discusing philosophy 

A am asleep at 12:30am.  I am bushed.  Lot of walking today!           Spyder
