Day 1 - 2 Marrakech
Welcome to mystery, welcome
to medieval myths, welcome to Marrakech! Our downtown hotels is loaded with
character and even boasts a hammam - a type of steam bath. We view the sights
of Marrakech all located within the vast Medina Walls via traditional horse and
carriage. The famous Koutoubia with its 70 metre tall minuret is impressive and
Djemaa-el-Fna with its delicious food stalls, snake charmers, story tellers,
musicians and most other forms of humanity is amazaing.

Day 3 Rabat (Via Casablanca)
To Casablanca, a modern city, but still brimming
with French Colonial architecture. Here we visit the massive Hassan Il
Mosque.Then to Rabat, a city of wide boulevards
and capital of Morocco.
We visit the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and Kasbah dos Oudaias, the oldest part of
the city.
Day 4 Rabat - Fez
Heading inland we visit
Volubilis home of Morocco's
best preserved Roman ruins. Then to the nearby imperial cities of Meknes and Fez.
We have a day to explore Fez
and its ancient wonders. Narrow and winding alleys house an array of markets,
Mosques, dye pits, souks, tanneries and craft shops for us to discover.
Day 5 Fez
Today we take in the vibrant
atmosphere of Fez
on a full day tour. We visit the Medersa Bou Inanea, the most beautiful of
Merenides monuments, the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss and the Andalusian and El
Quaraoiyin Mosques. We visit the Najjarine
Square with its 18th century fountain. Fez medina is a maze of more than 9000 small narrow
cobbled streets, and is a world away from modern Fez. We visit the dye pits, souks and the
many craft shops so keep your camera handy.
Day 6 Mezouga
Next stop the Sahara! Here we stay in huge Berber tents at the edge of
the sand dunes. An optional camel ride is available before we kick back at
night Berber style with singing and dancing and traditional Berber food.
Day 7 Todra Gorge
Leaving the desert behind we
travel to Todra Gorge where the narrow canyon walls drop 300m straight down to
the valley floor. Tonight we stay right in the heart of the gorge.
Day 8 Marrakech
First to the Kasbah of Ait
Ben Haddou and its lush vegetation. Then to Ourzazate so popular with Hollywood movie makers. Our final meal will be our
starting point - Marrakech!
Day 9 Marrakech
The trip finishes in Marrakech after breakfast, and for those flying out
late in the day it's a good chance to take the optional excursion to the Ourika
valley.
