I graduated college in May of 2001 and had a tougher time finding employment (that I wanted) than I expected. So I figured if I can't find what I want in NJ/NYC then why not try my luck in London! I worked abroad through BUNAC (a work exchange program) for six months at a posh health club/spa, Champneys Picadilly. It was probably the best experience I've ever had. I met some really great people through work and BUNAC who turned out what I hope to be life long friends. When not working at the health club I ventured to the outskirts (Salisbury, Bath, The Lake District..) of England which are truly amazing. I love the culture and the traditional values that the English hold dear to them. Did I mention I've never been a huge fan of soccer (football) until I had to live like a Brit during the World Cup... complete chaos but total fun. Theres so much to say about it all but I'll do it little by little. The bottom line, I had a brilliant time and I can't WAIT to go back!
