Trip - Summer 20 Eastern Europe by stmpwr
Warsaw
Ahhhh..... A good nights sleep aboard an Eastern Block Sleeper helps get one going at 8am.

Arrival in Warsaw was interesting and fun to say the least. You are greated by many people and some fun ouside malls. Different feel to the city from Prague, and from this point on all 1st time cities.
We managed to find a nice hotel for about $45 a night down the road from the local student union, which I will explain later, and the plan is only for a short stay here.
Both of us decided on this trip we would take our roller blades and be different from other travelers.
So, after making it to the hotel and getting settled in off to the city we went. First a nice walk around to find FOOD, a common theme on this trip. Followed by a decision to get our blades on and see what else was out there.
From this point we headed over to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and started blading around there. After all this was the local hangout for all bladers.... Including the Polish National Trip Skater Champ... This was good fun and lasted a couple hours!
From here we started back towards the hotel..... Fo course this was the point we found the live band at the student union.... Enter Beer, Food, and MUSIC..... This concluded with us heading, not so gracefully, back though old town and then towards out hotel.... Where, of course, we could not pass up another bar. This is where it all started... We found a couple locals who decided they wanted to drink with us for the rest of the night... From this bar we headed to the local Irish Pub, every city has one.... At about 7am we decided it was time to head back and sleep some.... Our train leaves in 14 hours!
So, Sleep at 0730 up at noon to check out... OUCH our heads hurt now!
