Met Becca and Jonno in Coogee, we went for an all day breakfast which was gorgeous! We called by Colin and Seth’s new flat which is next door to their old one, then went back to Becca’s house! I ended up staying the night then went home early the next morning to get changed before meeting a traumatised Becca in town… she’d got all the way into town and forgot my mobile number, and her own number to ring Jonno, and my address so ended up waking her Mam up in the UK then she didn’t have a pen to write the number down – Oh bless!!! Thankfully we were successful at getting her an interview suit and I got my favourite red shoes resoled!
I went to Kerrie’s for dinner it’s like my second home – she looks after me nearly as well as my Mam!! We talked all night and watched tv which took my mind off the fact that everyone else was at the Coldplay concert!
Started working at IDP the company who have already turned me down on two occasions, so little bit resentful there!! I’m putting information from booking forms onto spreadsheets and have suggested that an online booking form is the way forward!! The best thing about working there is I’m close to home and close to town so it’s pretty handy! Mel picked me up after work we made pizza and sat and watched Rove (the aussie’s attempt at copying Patrick Kielty), ended up staying at Mels and going home in the morning to get ready for work.
Missed out on a job in the department of health as had my phone on silent! Made chicken fajitas for Greg and Richard then we all walked across the Anzac Bridge. Got an e-mail off Mark a guy from UCB that my uncle Mike knows, he’s going to be in Sydney so we’re going to meet up!
On a major fitness campaign, doing lots of skipping and rowing in an attempt to get fit again! Spent Friday night at Kerries watching Titanic, with commercials every 4 and half minutes it started at 8pm and finished sometime just before 1am!
On Saturday I got up early and went to the gym in our building then got changed and went to a gorgeous little café in Balmain for breakfast with Kerrie and Kerrie, we walked around Balmain markets and met up with Kerries friend from College then came home. Later, we all went to Tamsin’s ‘belated trashy American 4th of July party’! We had a BBQ and watched the Rugby then went to the Lord Dudley Pub. Tamsin went home early because she had a drink spilled all over her, so when Damian was getting on a little too well with some complete stranger I did the only thing a new friend could and embarrassed him by acting like his ex, egged on by the others I said ‘I don’t care what you get up to tonight you’re having the kids in the morning, you always do this’!!! It went down a real treat… Damian looked completely bewildered and the girl was mortified – result!!! We all walked Damian back to Tamsin’s, a difficult task hampered by his persistent desire to strip and his affection for bushes! Bit of a messy night although Kerrie and me were taking it easy because we were going to football the next day and didn’t want a hang over to jeopardise our first session! |
