This road trip was an opportunity to see California and anything in between that we wanted to see. It would be our chance to see the landscape and major cities of interest in the Southern half of the United States between the East Coast and West Coast.

I picked up time and we were on our way to New Orleans by 10:30am.
Arrived in New Orleans at around 8 or 9.
We walked through New Orleans, where we stopped at a bar and watched a Jazz band.
I had already seen New Orleans during Mardi Gras, and Tim had gotten what he wanted from the visit. We left around Midnight to continue our trek. At between 1am we stopped for the night at a rest area 60 mles west of New Orleans.
