Hello all from jolly old Berlin. Strangest thing at the moment is that some of the keys are in the wrong place on the key board, my spider quick typing fingers thwarted!! Well, took short flight from London to Germany, flight itself only 1 hour but then spent an hour circling the runway because they had to make spur of the moment repairs on the runway (unnerving to say the least). This followed by long train ride from Frankfurt to Berlin. German efficiency is not a myth, boy those trains are on time and they have no patients for idiotic lost tourists (not that I'm one of those or anything). So finally got to Berlin and absolutely love it!! Went on 5 hour walking tour of the city and had a blast. Ended up going out with a few people from the walk to drinks at their hostel. This led to more drink (as often happens) and soon a group of about 15 of us were taking the train to East Berlin to go to a club over there. Not sure how all the time passed but suddenly we're trying to navigate the trains back home at 5:00 in the morning. So it's good times here. I've decided not to work in Spain so I'll just get to keep traveling until I run out of dinero (or Euro's out here). Heading to Oktoberfest day after tomorrow, where I have been assured by many that I will most likely be puked on. Am slowly getting used to the language barrier, the German's, for the most part, all know a little English so that helps. I've only had to resort to pointing wildly and grinning like an idiot a few times. I have eaten several sandwiches that I couldn't honestly identify the meat in. They don't eat dog over here do they? Traveling is a strange thing because you can go from the best day to the worst day so quickly. I can be depressed and wanting to come home for days, then suddenly I'm having the time of my life and I want to stay out here forever. Hope you're all doing well, I'll keep you updated on Oktoberfest.
